Board of Directors Application Form

Thank you for your interest in serving as a member of the Board of Directors of The Holly Chin Natick Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA). Serving on the board is a rewarding experience and an opportunity for personal and professional growth. Completing this form will help you understand time/resource commitments of this leadership position and desired skills for incoming Board members. Please read through the entire application and Board Member Responsibilities before you begin filling it out.

This application will be kept confidential and on file at the NAPA office. Applications are used by the Board’s Ad Hoc Nominating Committee to identify and evaluate potential board candidates. All new board members are elected by a majority vote of the NAPA Board's membership during the Annual Meeting in December of each year.

BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Serve a minimum of one (1) two-year term on the Board. Eligible to serve additional terms if re-elected. 

2. Attend all quarterly Board Meetings. 

3. Make a serious commitment to participate actively in NAPA activities. NAPA is a working board where each director participates on a committee and/or production.

4. Stay informed about NAPA matters, be prepared for meetings, and review and comment on minutes and reports. 

5. Build a collegial working relationship with other board and committee members that contributes to consensus. 

6. Represent NAPA appropriately and professionally in public and the community.

7. Participate in the positive development and advancement of NAPA.

Will you be able to prioritize NAPA activities, and barring unforeseen and reasonable conflicts, attend all meetings?
