OUR STORY
Natick Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) is a non-profit committed to helping performers, of all ages, find a creative outlet in the Boston suburbs. NAPA instructors offer a unique and highly personalized method of learning, creating an environment to nurture, educate, and encourage creative individuals to achieve the highest level of success on and off the stage.
NAPA began through the hard work of Holly Chin who began this journey over 10 years ago by creating the Holly Chin Vocal Studio and State of Mind Performers. She has taught hundreds of students over the years to help them become adept and confident performers.
Through NAPA's outreach, our non-profit hopes to use Ms. Chin's talents and expertise to strengthen the community and widen the creative footprint in the greater Natick area.

Meet The Creative Team

Holly Chin
Founder, Executive,
and Artistic Director
Along with being a part of the theater arts community for over 20 years, Holly is also a certified vocal coach, writer, and youth choir director. A Natick native, Holly resides in her hometown with her husband and three boys. She is thrilled to offer a creative outlet for performers of all ages and believes that everyone has a talent to share.

Alanna Mesier
Lead Choreographer & Voice Lesson Instructor
Voice and musical theatre have always been a big part of Alanna’s life. When she was eleven years old, Alanna started voice lessons with Holly Chin, and is still in shock that she now calls Holly her boss and teaches voice lessons NAPA. Alanna has been studying voice ever since, and went on to study at The University of the Arts and obtained a B.F.A in musical theatre after her four years there. Even though her major was musical theatre, her training was voice focused and has always been Alanna’s favorite part of theatre.

"The stage offers a transformational gift. It enhances,
opens your mind, embraces and even dares you.
Every performer should have an opportunity to be
on the receiving end of that. The stage truly belongs to you!"
